This whole “Second Hand Smoke” thing has my hackles up! In my last post, I howled about tobacco prices and our rights to smoke. I love my nightly pipe, and by gosh I’m mad, and I’m not gonna take it! Smoking has been a part of our culture for centuries. It set the mood in this clip.

One of my favorite authors Mark Twain Wrote: “You are blind to the fact that most old men in America smoke and drink coffee, although, according to your theory, they ought to have died young; and that hearty old Englishmen drink wine and survive it, and portly old Dutchmen both drink and smoke freely, and yet grow older and fatter all the time. And you never try to find out how much solid comfort, relaxation, and enjoyment a man derives from smoking in the course of a lifetime (which is worth ten times the money he would save by letting it alone), nor the appalling aggregate of happiness lost in a lifetime by your kind of people from not smoking.”
He had the right idea!! Even in 1893 there were those who wished to tell us how to better live our lives.

There are links to the actual study by the EPA by which our current laws are based. Mr. Hitt includes two other studies to compare the EPA’s findings too. The EPA did not even conduct their own study, they found other studies, and pulled information from them that suited their agenda! The EPA should be dissolved! It was their study that started this whole crazy ban. One must ask, “What do they have to gain in outlawing smoking in public? Could it be $$ ?
It seems to me that a handful of humans are deciding what is best for the rest of us. They will only publish the facts that suit them. Truth “Their form of it” has become something those in power impose upon us. The issue here is bigger than smoking. As I said in my last post, it’s our FREEDOM!
We need to tell the bureaucrats in Washington that we are smart enough to make our own decisions. Armed with the glaring facts presented in these studies found at “Just The Facts’ website, you can spread the word. We need to stop those folks in the White House from telling us how to live!
